When settled in the glass there was a robust if rustic combination of cherry and strawberry, barnyard funk, light spice. The palate was a lot clunkier than the bouquet, with still fairly coarse tannins and sharp acidity. I don’t think this is a matter of “too young” - it wasn’t bad, but it was far from sublime.
