It is rich, fully ripe and there is still noticeable oak, but it comes together in an elegant fashion together, and doesn't feel overwruaght. It got better over the course of the evening. Went well with the pork ribs I made on the Egg. Not sure I would get it again at nearly $80 but definitely a high-quality and enjoyable wine. Not sure it's all that memorable though, at least at this stage of development.
