Monday, October 11, 2021 - Drank from a decanter over 5 hours. This seemed to show something different every hour--started off closed with gritty tannins and a deeply mineral note. Then the fruit started to emerge--red and black berries, with fresh cracked pepper and smoke coming through. On the last glass, this became lush and juicy, with a stemminess adding freshness. Wish I had more--this is a beautiful wine now, but has plenty to go the distance.
