Friday, January 31, 2020 - 30 min decant. Young but I’ve been curious about this one given some of the high reviews and my experiences with other Mike Smith wines. Deep semi translucent purple with a clear rim. Taste and aroma sandalwood, raspberry, blackberries, strawberry leaves and a touch of smoke. Heavier on the red fruit side of the fruit spectrum despite its color. Tangy acidity and lower tannins. A little thin, just barely medium plus body. Overall, nice wine. About 91.

Day 2, noticeably sweeter with dark cherry and a little more viscous mouthfeel. Bodes well for the future. Maybe 92.
