Monday, September 2, 2013 - Tasted alongside a Joseph Phelps Cab from the same vintage and expected the Far Niente to stand up better than it did. Black cherries on the nose along with leather, cedar and sweet spice. Tart cherries on the palate, and a fair amount of acidity but no longer with a body to match. Not terrible but certainly a few years past its prime.
