Tuesday, November 1, 2011 - A "very good" zinfandel. Dark purple. Warm plum and sage bouquet. Alcohol quite prominent but not overbearing. This is more restrained than Aussie shiraz but much more extracted than most California zins. My favorite point to this wine is that the Zin spice isn't overblown. Too expensive for the quality, though the winery does donate to heart research. Wouldn't buy again based on price.
