Saturday, January 13, 2018 - Decanted for ~8 hours and consumed over the next 3-4 hours. Uber-classic aromas of dried cherry fruit, licorice, balsamico, dried flowers and old leather. Fruit on the palate is lighter and the overall impression is a fully mature Barbaresco. Still has some fine, grippy tannin that work well, particularly with food. Even though the weight and concentration are on the lighter side, there is good intensity of flavor. Quite nice. Should hold, but no reason to wait.
