Saturday, November 28, 2020 - Lovely nose. From the very few Rauzan-Gassies that have reached my neck of the woods, they all share a nice combination of Margaux violets and a pronounced meatiness on the nose. This one is no different.
Unfortunately the taste is lacking a bit. 1990 is not my favorite Bordeaux vintage by any means, but this feels quite thin, with almost no mid-palate and a very short, bitter finish.
Not a terrible wine, and would doubtless be better with food, but this isn't anywhere near the standard of wine being produced at this estate now.
