90 Points

Sunday, January 26, 2020 - The 2016 Aeris Carricante is straw gold in color and features a nose of lemon, stone fruit, and salt that could easily be mistaken for a young California Chardonnay. A waxy texture, good structure, and imposing tannins that need a few more years to soften. But, at this stage at least, the balance is off with a mouth-puckering sourness that overwhelms all other flavors. It could be the age, but this is also missing a little bit of the depth that the 2014 featured.
