Tuesday, February 16, 2021 - Drank after 4-5 hours in the decanter (seems like more breathing time is not the way to go with this wine given my 2 other reviews). The color is a light crimson with orange tones at the edge. The nose has leather with hints of cranberry and spice (cumin?) and a whiff of phenolics and alcohol. The palate has cranberry and a hint of honey for a bitter/sweet pair. The tannins have mouth-drying prominence. The acid is medium+. There is a general lack of balance in this wine. Maybe after several more years in the cellar? Alcohol 14%. This was different from my previous 2 reviews with ratings an inverse of breathing time.
