Friday, June 4, 2021 - Pecchenino Zoom tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of lovely sweet red florals, chalky earth minerality, classic sour red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red licorice, classic sour red cherries, ripe red cherries, chalky stones minerality, earth, balsamic herbs + spices. Long finish.
Very good quality. My score may even be conservative. Upside potential for sure as this develops over the next 10 years. Though it is fairly accessible now already actually.
Blend of 35% from Le Coste di Monforte, 15% from Bussia and 50% from Ravera.
