Wednesday, March 6, 2024 - when first opening the bottle there was a little fizzines maybe secondary fermentation? after sitting in the glass for 15 mins that all went away.
Lighter bodied than i remember from 2 years ago. very nice though with notes of indian spice, earthiness, black fruits a little funk, pepper. Seemed to indicate Syrah to blimd tasters.

3/6/2024 2:27:00 PM - Paul Gordon (winemaker) left a TN a few years ago on the fizziness experienced with some of the Halcon wines. "Winemaker note - with all our wines, within the first year or so in bottle there is a slight spritz from trapped CO2. This is a great preservative and allows for a low SO2 regime. If sensitive to this I suggest an aggressive decant." It appears this remains beyond Yr1, but blows off and should not be an issue.
