The fruit is not bright or sharp, more meaty. Quite smooth and nicely balanced - no rough edges. This is not a big wine. This is to Burgundy as the Rhy's/Alesia San Mateo is to Cali. Pinot - superb value for the price! (I only wish they wouldn't have used synthetic corks.
