Wednesday, March 23, 2022 - PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, dark ruby. Nose: Clean, pronounced intensity with developing aromas of black olive, capsicum, blackberry, black raspberry, pomegranate, cooking spice, and violet - quite dynamic giving a different nuance with each sniff. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium tannin, has the stuffing to handle the 14.9% abv, medium+ bodied, pronounced intensity with developing flavors of dark fruit - blackberry and black raspberry, oak influenced spice notes with back-end capsicum and black olive notes and a long finish. Overall an outstanding which carries it's higher alcohol very well - great balance, exceptional complexity, intensity, and length. Drinking well with a little air now, has the stuffing to be even better in 2-3 years and good for 5+ after that.
