Sunday, January 3, 2021 - The label says this is a single vineyard Chianti Classico Riserva, which would be a major shift from what used to be bottled as Ser Gioveto (two words rather than one). That wine was a blend of Sangiovese, Cab Sauv, Merlot, and I think some Nebbiolo. This is a very tasty, cleanly made (i.e., not rustic), mid-weight Chianti at the very front end of its drinking window. I’d be happy to own more and would expect some improvement with another year in the cellar.
