87 Points

Friday, October 16, 2020 - The previous review here with the 55 point score is for a different wine. This wine (the malbec) had a phenomenal nose that burst from the bottle as soon as the cork was out, especially freshly baked bread. And on drinking, the flavors promised by that nose were certainly there. Unfortunately they were also hidden behind a curtain of lemon that some may call zingy acidity, but I call sour. On the second night, the sour notes were much suppressed, but so too was the bouquet and the intense malbec flavors. Perhaps this one bottle was off, but I don't have any more to compare to.
