Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - Fathers' Gathering (RPM Italian, Washington D.C.): Expressive nose displaying ripe but succulent yellow fruit, apple, peach, sweet spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of sweet yellow fruit, rich and sweet, but also showing a very good balance and precision, bright acidity and strong limestone mineral, and a long sweet yellow fruit driven finish. This clearly reflects the ripe fruit of the vintage. Drinking well but will show better in three to five years from now when the ripe fruit expression lessens.
