Monday, February 14, 2022 - This wine has a dark garnet color, nearly black, with ruby tinges around the edges. The nose is of blueberries and blackberries with hints of amaretto and cotton candy. The first tastes are of blue and black fruit followed by a wonderful oak with balanced tannins and alcohol. It has a warm oak finish accented with remnants of ripe fruit.

Decanted for a half hour to get to room temperature. Paired wonderfully with filet mignon and lobster accompanied by mushroom risotto, steamed asparagus and warm semolina bread and butter.

This wine has been a longtime favorite of mine and this vintage didn't disappoint. For the price, this is an amazing wine. It is truly happiness in a bottle.
