Sunday, January 11, 2015 - James Laube gave this wine a score of 87 in 2002. Well, 12 years out, we could say either some sort of bottle variation exists, or this wine simply aged better than expected. Much less oak. Nose and palate of old Rhone style wine, unusual for california fruit-forward cab. Minerality, pepper, iron, wild red and black berries. Medium plus finish.
