Sunday, December 24, 2023 - A little quiet at first despite double decanting but starting to come alive in the glass after about 30 minutes. Charred pineapple, lemon, sea spray, tangerine peel on the nose. On the palate there’s real oak presence, but it’s not overwhelming. Additional notes of ginger, pineapple core, coconut, and a strong note of slate on the mid-palate to the finish. At least a few years too young to be at its peak but this is still a real pleasure today.
