Tuesday, May 7, 2013 - This has taken over three hours to begin to show its best. At first it seemed bretty and funky, with the acids more or less dominating the fruit; there was a certain charm to this rusticity. Now with time it's composed itself rightly, with very pure, dark red fruits tinged slightly with classic briny/smoky Syrah characteristics. It's quite nice, and if not amazing quite lovely in its own right, and showing better than I expected.
