Monday, July 27, 2015 - Good amount of honey and light spices on the nose along with varied tropical fruit notes. Medium bodied and quite expressive with very good fruit complexity. The honey was there of course, along with apricot, peach and orange flavors. Finished with a very nice mix of lemon, grapefruit and botrytis. Strengths of this wine were the flavor complexity through the middle and the balance between the sweetness and the acidity. I would've rated this wine higher if it had a bit more acidity and structure, but it had more than enough to balance the current sweetness level and to avoid coming off as flabby or syrupy. I expect it should have a long life ahead of it and has the potential for future positive evolution.
