Monday, September 5, 2016 - 2006 Guiraud is relatively light in body and has a searing acidity that balances out the sweetness. Lemon peel, canned peach, orange lifesaver, cigarette ash notes pop. It is a sauternes that leans more towards elegance than richness.
It appeared a bit simple at first, with aeration, little spice notes came through, upping the level of complexity.
