Friday, March 11, 2011 - This wine was tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. The bottle was kindly provided by Ken Johnson. Opaque garnet robe with some bricking at the rim. Clean and very intense, complex nose of ripe plums, saddle leather, vanilla and earth. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity, medium sweet tannins and flavors mirroring the nose. The middle palate is full and the smooth finish is long. This is a wine which has reached a very nice level of maturity and should drink nicely over the next 4-5 years. Drink now-12/15.
