92 Points

Friday, April 4, 2008 - I had forgotten I recently tasted this wine. Strangely, I am much more enthusiastic after ths bottle and I do not think the first one was defective. The color is a deep ruby with a hint of purple. The nose is at first a pure cabernet cassis, but after an hour in the glass the toasty vanillion oak becomes more obvious yet not overwhelming. The high tannins also smooth out with air and it's clear the balance is exceptional. It's big; it's bold and it's beautiful.
