94 Points

Wednesday, September 7, 2022 - 60% pinot noir / 40% chardonnay. Superb but still quite young, with proper cellaring will age well over the next 20+ years so drink or hold but leaning strongly on the hold - see this eventually as a 95+ point wine. Highly recommend and despite the price point this is so good as to still be quite a reasonable QPR wine at the average CT cost. Enjoyed in Helsinki at restaurant OLO as a dessert pairing with their higher end tasting and wine pairing menu. Full bodied, overall slightly sweeter then expected, pale yellow with a slight greenish hue, well balanced with very small tightly clustered bubbles and a beautiful lengthy aftertaste. Nose warm and tropical with lees and brioche up front and nectarine ana a hint of honey developing on the finish. Flavor profile drier then nose suggests with yeast, brioche bread, almonds and rose petals up front with a fruitier and spicier finish of orange, apricot, white peach and kitchen spices. Completely agree with the note below about the salinity - through out there is a touch of sea mist or ocean air with a clear saline note present.
