Sunday, April 28, 2024 - Sunday hangout (Chicago, IL): Absolutely loved this -- it needs a little bit of air to get going, but it's so exuberant and delicious this is great from the get-go. Just that perfect balance of cabernet franc perfume, but with none of the ashy greenness on the palate either. Generous fruit but not overwhelmingly so, and plenty of black-fruited weight here. Very approachable and enjoyable now, though clearly not a wine that will suffer for aging.
