Wednesday, January 27, 2021 - This is an exceptionally quaffable pinot noir. Popped and poured it comes on heavy-handed with oaky vanilla and very mild tannins. For people who like that, it hits off straight away. After 6 hours air, though, the oak seems more elegant, closer to a nice Burgundy. Fruit and sous bois are understated, this wine is mostly an oak delivery mechanism, but it works quite well. Feels like a new world PN but without a fruit emphasis. Acid is medium - it's noticeable but the wine isn't sour and is perfectly drinkable without food. Not a wine for aging, drink young, though I'm sure it'll be fine for a few years.
