Monday, June 19, 2023 - Started out at 12 degrees right from the cellar, decanted and drank over the course of 2 hours. Chilled on the nose, immediately the oakiness and sweet vanilla flavor come out and on the palate that's even more prominent. Flavors of Pipe tobacco, oak and vanilla, already quite pungent and on a cold tongue that comes out a bit off at first, because one misses some tannins in this stage.

When decanted for a while the wine warms up, and some tannins become more prominent, but the sweetness increases a bit aswell, which is not great. It also becomes a bit hot on the tongue, which is the alcohol (13,5%) and that tells me the wine is not very well balanced.

It's not a terrible wine, but I have had so much better for this pricepoint. All in all I wouldn't buy this wine again.
