Started out at 12 degrees right from the cellar, decanted and drank over the course of 2 hours. Chilled on the nose, immediately the oakiness and sweet vanilla flavor come out and on the palate that's even more prominent. Flavors of Pipe tobacco, oak and vanilla, already quite pungent and on a cold tongue that comes out a bit off at first, because one misses some tannins in this stage.
When decanted for a while the wine warms up, and some tannins become more prominent, but the sweetness increases a bit aswell, which is not great. It also becomes a bit hot on the tongue, which is the alcohol (13,5%) and that tells me the wine is not very well balanced.
It's not a terrible wine, but I have had so much better for this pricepoint. All in all I wouldn't buy this wine again.

An interesting mix of elegance and New World opulence. Very intense and oaky, with lots of candied coconuts and sweet spices. Varietal, too, shows cassis and leafy notes. It's smooth, seamless, the balance is great, extraction is gentle. No alcoholic heat at all (ABV is 13,5%), no bitterness, the tannins are simply perfect. It's intense and generous, a crowd-pleaser, yet very refined. My only concern is that it's just a bit too sweet on the palate. Ready now, but can be aged for many years as well (until 2028 or so).

Lots of dark fruit, plums and prunes, nice tang up front that was unexpected for a Cabernet, but lingering flavors of cough syrup send this wine off the rails.

Medium (+) ruby colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with red plum, black cherry, vanilla, oak, cedar, alcohol, green bell pepper, black pepper, cassis and cloves. Medium (+) taste of red plum, black cherry, cassis, vanilla, oak, green bell pepper, black pepper and cloves. Medium (+) long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. Full body. A good Californian Cabernet Sauvignon that lacks some structure. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with beef or lamb.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, raspberry, forest floor and light toast. It tastes like strawberry, blackberry, toast and mineral. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Very nice everyday drinker. Dark color, faint but attractive nose. Surprisingly rich mouthfeel, with much dark fruit and some depth. Smooth finish. Much better than most bottom-shelf cabs. Spend the extra dollar and be well-rewarded.

Very good wine for the price. Pretty bold with some good tannins. Finish is short, but overall a nice wine!
