Thursday, February 10, 2022 - Pale to mid-yellow, the nose is bright with oak spics, lactone, nutmeg, clove and smoke. There is pencil shavings, nuts and rock dust that give an impression of Wheatsworth cheese crackers. The fruit is lemon, grapefruit and Galia melon.
Medium-bodied, the entry has a fresh, fine line of tingling acidity and some breadth and sweetness to the fruit. The finish is long, but the wine shows quite a bit of oak. A lovely core of lemon pith, grapefruit and apple pulp keeps the wine singing.
