Friday, February 18, 2022 - I had Tardieu-Laurent’s Coronas from the same vintage the other week and boy are these chalk and cheese. Where the Cornas was immediately fragrant and elegant, this is all coiled power, needing a lot of air to come out of its shell. Intensely fruited, with purple berries and spice on the nose, this has a long, plush, well structured palate. Beautifully ripe with the (just) 13.5pc abv keeping everything in balance. A relative bargain at just over €40 with a long life ahead. 94+ pts
