Friday, March 15, 2024 - A rich, but balanced wine. Elegant poise with plum, damson, blackberry jam, gorgeous spice and minerally soils at its core. The herbal and stone notes in the finish are beautiful still.

The lavish oak is holding this back a bit at this point in its development as the fruit slides into middle age, and its potency is moving backward a bit. There should be more of the terroir coming out at this point, but the oak is a bit intrusive.

Good wine, but drink up. I'll hold one for the long term, but will plan on finishing these over the next 3-4 years.
