Saturday, November 11, 2023 - I’ve had many vintages of Buehler Cabs, and loved them all; so will try to be objective. One thing I do not like about Buehler is their use of synthetic corks - they are way too tight.

In the glass a nice inky color portends a big wine. The nose is a little closed, but some cedar and cigar box does come through. On the palate you get a mouthful of jammy berries, some bramble, chocolate and a hint of vanilla from the oak. The tannins envelop the mouth, indicating there can be much more to come from this wine.

2nd glass with dinner of grilled skirt steak, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The berries continue to dominate and the tannins remain firm. It is a nice complement to the charred bits of beef from the grill. This needs more time to develop. But definitely quality Napa juice for the price.
