Tuesday, January 23, 2024 - Hmmm... third glass and I'm still not sure how to judge this Chianti ( with pizza on the table 🙂)
Load of ripe red and black fruits counterweighted with punchy spice. Lively acidity, ripe, but very grainy tannins ( my music). Pretty long, fruity finish. In general my problem is that the wine is too sweet, but also not boring, is challenging and unique.
The smell is so lovely. Ethereal, delicate, flowery with earth, smoke, minerals, forest, sweet spice and red fruits.
14.5% ABV - powerful, juicy wine.
100% Sangiovese
