Tuesday, July 25, 2023 - Opened and paired with grilled carne asada chicken, macaroni, and mixed berry salad. Inky purple color with a violet hue. The nose brings purple lavender, grape menthol, tar, wood smoke, raspberry pie, and baking splices. The palate is medium, square, juicy, and compact, bringing a hard core of black, purple, and red fruit encased in a meat pie with olives, mushrooms, and hints of green onion. Overall, still shy and tannic with little fruit delineation at this stage. Drink 2025-2035. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 90.
