Opened and paired with grilled carne asada chicken, macaroni, and mixed berry salad. Inky purple color with a violet hue. The nose brings purple lavender, grape menthol, tar, wood smoke, raspberry pie, and baking splices. The palate is medium, square, juicy, and compact, bringing a hard core of black, purple, and red fruit encased in a meat pie with olives, mushrooms, and hints of green onion. Overall, still shy and tannic with little fruit delineation at this stage. Drink 2025-2035. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 90.

Nose - plum, blueberry, tutti bosco. Ripe fruit dark spectrum but very fresh Mouth - delicious, juicy, plums, dark cherries, mouthwatering with minerality and tannins , all there if not yet quite integrated. The underlying material is evident. Voluptuous and a (cheap) thrill.

Barnyard, smoked herbs, anise, blackberries, fennel, fresh-tilled earth — evocative and deep nose that revealed more as it opened. The palate is med+/full with a nice herbal lift that reminds me of black licorice, it has some spiciness and a dark fruit core. Med+ tannins, they’re ripe and you feel them more on the finish — no sense of astringent-ness. It’s deep and there’s a ton going on, it also is a nice blend between old and new world, clean and more natty. I love this.

PnP. Doesn't have the concentration of the Clape's Cornas but it still is a fine Syrah, lifted, floral and delicately meaty. It's actually more subtle than I anticipated, considering it's 30-60 y.o. Syrah from St-Peray and Cornas.

I don't often enter a tasting note, but this wine was so exceptional that I felt I had to. I had rather low expectations given how young it is, but it is one of the most delicious Syrahs I've had in a long time. None of the reduction and funkiness that often plague young Syrahs, but instead just an amazing mix of black fruits, acid, and gaminess. Would buy a lot more of this.

Very bretty, with almost a light fizz because of happy yeasts. Unclean and not tasty.

Un vin puissant, un peu monolithique, équilibré par une bonne acidité mais fortement réduit, même plusieurs heures après ouverture. Attendre 2-3 ans.

Lovely young thing - loaded with black olive, cassis, blackberry, brambly herbs de provence goodness. Sleek and refreshing on the palate. Nice.
