Wednesday, November 30, 2022 - PnP. Deep ruby with a pale pink rim. Shows some Chianti Classico typicity, but with elegance. Refined and fruity Sangiovese nose with cherries, strawberry, and an almost-graphite, earthy topsoil--but "cleaner" and not quite as rustic as many Sangioveses. Juicy midpalate. Noticeable fruity cherry on the finish, with some pleasant, drying tannins. Should get better with age, but will be hard to hold off. Extremely quaffable. Light on its feet without being thin: I can't think of a more elegant Chianti Classico. Excellent with a beef, pork, and veal meatball sub with shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. 96% Sangiovese, 4% Merlot. 13% ABV.
