PnP. Not dissimilar to my 8/10/22 note--only addition is that it has good acidity as well. Clearly very young, but quaffable in that style. Would prefer to hold for a couple years at least.
Regifted to me after gifting to a good friend a few years back. Dark garnet color, nearly to the edges. Nose of blueberry pie, dark chocolate, licorice, some cedar. Pleasant, fruity mouthfeel, with nice acidity, finishing with a dusting of cocoa powder and very well-integrated but noticeable tannins on the back end. Softness and structure. Drinking beautifully right now, but should last longer.
Good value: purchased for $46.25 from the Hartford list 12/1/2016.

PnP. Deep ruby with a pale pink rim. Shows some Chianti Classico typicity, but with elegance. Refined and fruity Sangiovese nose with cherries, strawberry, and an almost-graphite, earthy topsoil--but "cleaner" and not quite as rustic as many Sangioveses. Juicy midpalate. Noticeable fruity cherry on the finish, with some pleasant, drying tannins. Should get better with age, but will be hard to hold off. Extremely quaffable. Light on its feet without being thin: I can't think of a more elegant Chianti Classico. Excellent with a beef, pork, and veal meatball sub with shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. 96% Sangiovese, 4% Merlot. 13% ABV.
