Friday, September 2, 2016 - Sienna color, bricking orange. The bouquet opens up to a high-toned, oxidized funk that tapers down to ripe, earthy notes of plums, cherries, and decaying leaves. The fruit on the palate is secondary to structure and maturity, with fine but sticky tannin, orange citrus and black tea flavors, and a dry, oxidized finish. Too much oxidation for me.
