Monday, October 16, 2023 - The wine was double decanted and consumed out of a Grassl 1855 stem at 55°F. The color was very deep purple. The nose was of a lighter blackberry liquor and baking spices. The flavor is of black fruits, brown spices and cocoa. There is medium to medium(+) acidity and grainy tannins. The body is full and mouth coating. There is noticeable heat on the finish. The wine is not balanced, maybe it will improve slightly with a few more years in bottle or a long decant. This is not my style of cabernet but it's a decent QPR.
