Thursday, September 28, 2023 - Condrieu and Cote Rotie; 9/28/2023-10/28/2023 (Must and Lees, N1): Medium dark red. Extremely olivey on the nose, almost to the exclusion of fruit, but you do get to blackberry and plum eventually. On the palate, and despite its youth, it actually comes across as a little bit evolved. It is certainly ready to go which I would never have guessed for 2019, and it has an earthy underlying sweetness which I really like in red wine. A nice bottle, uncomplicated and appealing.
