TWS North London; Cote Rotie and Condrieu at Must & Lees (Must & Lees, N1): Quite primary. Super peppery and classic young n. Rhone syrah on the nose and palate. Feels bulletproof; if you told me this would last another 20 years i'd believe you. Little bit primary for me. 89++; would love to try in 15 yrs

Condrieus and Côte-Rôties of North London (Must & Lees): Excellent nose here, with gorgeous hedgerow fruit, charcoal and a touch of dusky florality. Really fruit-forward on the palate too, which was spicy, grippy, and almost aggressively pure, and also showed some attractive violet and liquorice character. Soft, sandy tannins allowed the wine to be enjoyed despite its young age. Haven't even heard of this producer, but I was impressed. 8% Viognier, 65% whole bunch, natural yeasts, 18 months in demi-muids and bottled unfiltered - no surprise it made quite the contrast to the Gaillard.

Condrieu and Cote Rotie; 9/28/2023-10/28/2023 (Must and Lees, N1): Medium dark red. Extremely olivey on the nose, almost to the exclusion of fruit, but you do get to blackberry and plum eventually. On the palate, and despite its youth, it actually comes across as a little bit evolved. It is certainly ready to go which I would never have guessed for 2019, and it has an earthy underlying sweetness which I really like in red wine. A nice bottle, uncomplicated and appealing.

Condrieu and Cote Rotie (Must & Lees, N1): Olive, coffee grounds, violet and rose with tender, sweet purple fruit. Maybe a little confected on the nose. An overall sense of transparency and drinkability, especially for a wine so young.
