Saturday, February 13, 2021 - When I can lay my hands on some have never been disappointed with this (historically) authentic true Burgundy - Pinot Gris disguised under its local name Pinot Beurot. Often found under the Hautes Cotes de Beaune Appellation this example, new to me, is from a Gevrey-based producer and with a generic Bourgogne labelling.
Slightly closed apple and pear. Waxy, honeysuckle hints with vanilla and some minerality. Full and almost new worldly. Enjoyable now but, in my view, still more to offer over the next 4 years or so. Excellent and everything I hoped for (hard to find).
Should evolve and probably improve further at least till 2025. 91?+
