Saturday, December 2, 2023 - Coravined a few glasses. Holy heck this is so delicious with DELICIOUS mountain fruit. Can’t put the glass down. And all I’m thinking is when to get a 6 pack of this ‘19. Rich, flamboyant, mountain character, herbs, graphite, bit boozy but eh I’m enjoying it. Hints of some minerals, vanilla and slate in there too. Good acid, good plushy finish.

My experience with the ‘13, a bid, dark, tannic monster in its youth, has scared me off of drinking these early, but perhaps I should change my ways. How much airtime do you boys suggest?

AG - you go first, ;)

12/3/2023 10:04:00 AM - Yes, Cab. I've been disappointed the few times I let them age. Maybe when they get really, really old they get good again, but they'll never have that big fruit phase again.

12/3/2023 10:32:00 AM - Mark : I try to drink my stuff before 11 years but I should age a few to see how they do. I recently had a ‘05 Kamen Syrah - what a beauty it was.
