94 Points

Thursday, April 22, 2010 - Nose: Rich, black fruit, a touch of cedar, and a hint of rosemary, and white flowers. Palate: Deep, but sweet tannins; wonderfully ageworthy. Definitely let it breathe for a couple hours or even cork, plug up, and drink the next day. Black fruit initially, with a bright cherry midpalate leading to a long finish with those sweet tannins that make you dream of a time 4 years from now when you pop open another bottle to drink. Definitely a young wine, but totally drinkable now. Try to stash away a couple bottles if you can, though, and you should be rewarded. Nice acidity, great balance. A spectacular example of the region without paying hundreds for it. A great QPR, IMHO. Hard not to drink now....
