Saturday, June 12, 2010 - Decanted for two hours. Black and purple. Invitingly intense milk chocolate, bread pudding, blackberries and cream, pencil lead, rosemary and hot rocks. Yes, the nose is really that complex and enthralling. Extremely layered and the fine - juicy tannins really bring this wine together. There's a major "WOW" factor that exists here in regards to the overall complexity. Tranquil in terms of balance. A stunning finish that lasts for over a minute. Some time might help, however, now is not bad. My first experience with this Maremma delight and I am almost speechless.....almost. A Super Tuscan that will pique your interest. The critics were right. Drink 2012 -.
