Saturday, February 7, 2009 - Like the '04 Pegau, this wine is drinking great for its age and another crowd pleaser. It is also half the price of Sassicaia and Ornellaia of the same vintage and I think this is a much better wine. Softer and lighter than its higher priced neighbors, with a nose of raw dough and flowers. While a well-rounded wine, it has a vibrant acidity that allows it to stand up to Italian food. It was great with pizza, but it could also stand up to a bolognese sauce.
