Monday, July 24, 2023 - 2020 is a very good rendition of Hubacker. 2020's from Rheinhessen and Pfalz i find a bit more powerful and compact than the elegant wines produced in the Mosel and Rheingau in this vintage. This bottle also no different. Hint of petrol on opening, that dissipated rather quickly giving way to a wide array of red Apple, pineapple, mint, ripe peach, vanilla powder, pollen and oyster shells. Very well balanced with terrific length. Stony, nervy and tense. Lovely wine.
