Tasted next to the 2019 and came across a little less austere but also a little less intense. Clearly, this needs another 5-10 years in the cellar before it will become enjoyable. Nose not quite up to the 2019 with a slight "aspirin" note.

Opened at Otto e Mezzo in HK. Decanted but served immediately, enjoyed over several hours.
This was an interesting experiment for me: the youngest Keller GG that I've had, and wanted to see where it was at. Would it be infanticide?
The answer is a mix of yes and no. The emphasised petrol, fruit, floral notes that come with age in these wines was quite subdued. What we got instead was immense racy energy and tension that came from the wine's incredible acidity. This was very enjoyable, but even with air, you can tell that there's more to unfurl.
I'd give this at least another 3+ years before trying again - preferably 5-7 years. However, a pleasure to share with J and I would be excited to try this again when more mature.

Pale yellow with green tint. Citrus, green apple, tropical fruits, butter popcorn, jasmine tea and honeysuckle. Complex, layered and elegant. Excellent structure. Lots of tensions on the side palate. Very long finish.
We drank it with 2020 von der fels. Folks who didn't know wine preferred the von der fels due to its upfront fruits and easy drinking. All connoissuers preferred the Hubacker due to its complexity and quality.

2020 is a very good rendition of Hubacker. 2020's from Rheinhessen and Pfalz i find a bit more powerful and compact than the elegant wines produced in the Mosel and Rheingau in this vintage. This bottle also no different. Hint of petrol on opening, that dissipated rather quickly giving way to a wide array of red Apple, pineapple, mint, ripe peach, vanilla powder, pollen and oyster shells. Very well balanced with terrific length. Stony, nervy and tense. Lovely wine.

People in the states can collectively moan for how relatively little this cost off a list at Nine of Five pizza in Munich. Captured energy is palpable here. Chiseled and edgy with so much density waiting to unfold. There’s a compelx nose with hints of petrol and cheese rind. ripe tropical fruits and waves of acidity just popping. The wine sits on your palate for a minute after a tatse. So obviously young, but so good.

Another great experience. This is nuclear-powered, with intense and energetic Riesling fruit coiled in a chiseled structure that will propel this for decades.

Surprisingly tropical and very high acidity. Pineapple, passion fruit, apricot, grapefruit. More full flavoured than expected but still fresh with acid. Lovely and taut.
I did enjoy just slowly going with it and sipping away. Enjoyable!

I hate it that Keller is so good. Hate it. But there's no fighting it; it's just delicious. Dense but balanced; bright and mineral; shimmering with a whole array of Riesling flavor deliciousness. Young, of course.

So young but so good. As you would expect this has loads of acidity and structure right now but awesome fruit and so much precision. Grapefruit, lemon, spice and dazzling complexity even at this young stage. 93 today 95 pt upside.

Stunning was the word my Riesling-hater wife used after tasting this (after 2 hours in a decanter, unbeknownst to her). This is why Keller is the best, albeit coveted/expensive producer of dry Riesling in the world. Glad I got a few at sensible pricing.

Loads of petrol on the nose. Very chiseled palate with less sweetness/honey than other vintages I’ve had. Obviously very young.

Wonderful intensity but also balance here. A very good version of Hubacker in '20. 93-94
